family has settled in Cahors for more than three hundred
year. Selon the legend, one of the ancestors of the
family had brought his wine to the Tsar of Russia, after
he returned, the village people called him
"Prince", because he saw the king, Thus comes the
name "Prince" .
With our policy of quality and respect for nature,
combined with the natural resources of our land, the
climate of our region, and our precious grapes
varieties, we can proudly offer you a range of wines
with characters and flavors, which will delight you
either during your meal or just for the pleasure of
tasting among the friends.
Our vineyard is located on the highland of Quercy ,
overlooking the Lot valley. It extends over 27 hectares
of clay-limestone exclusively. It special location
gives our wine unique taste.
Jouves family’s unique brewing technique is transmitted
from generation to generation. Domaine du Prince is a
wine of Cahors: rustic, fleshy and harmonious, the smell
changes with the time. blackcurrant, truffle and
underbrush give the wine the natural qualities related
to the soil, the climate and the grapes.
