tasting:

• Colour: deep red, shining of ruby

• Nose: An expressive bouquet with hint of liquorice , spices

 and blackcurrant.

• Palate:  kept  in French oak barrels for 12 months ,Full

bodied with silky tanins. Of a beautiful register, with ripened

grapes  notes and liquorice. With ventilation , keys of vanilla

are revealed. The taste of red fruits appears. A very nice wine,

 which is ready to drink.

• Serve at 18 °  , Open 30 minutes before serving

CHÂTEAU LA FLEUR JONQUET

Daughter and grand daughter of wine grower. I always lived in this universe ,and it is the passion which brought me to take back the property forgotten in 1986 of the Château “Junquet” which I called later “ La fleur Jonquet”,  because the soil already let me glimpse the floral character, the delicacy and the elegance of these wines.

The name Graves territory and wine appellation, comes from the soil which is constituted by an accumulation of stones called “ graves”. In the Graves territory, the property possesses the oldest vines ( more than 80 years for some). Wine storehouses are located in a old “Phalanstery”.

This construction comes from a concept of life in community elaborated by Charles Fournier ( 1772-1837 ) who saw through these buildings the base of a new lifestyle. This building complex with community use, could shelter several families, which were formed by the free association and by the affectionate agreement of their members.
